Coorg is one of the famous Pilgrimage sites in Karnataka. Talakaveri is considered as a sacred site for Hindus and the Origin of the river Kaveri, Bhagamandala is the home to Treveni Sangam and Bhagandeshwara Temple and very popular site for Hindus. The Tibetan Golden Temple at Bylakuppe is most important Tibetan Monasteries in India.

View Points

There are several viewpoints to watch the scenery from a height, you can see Viewpoints in Madikeri town, Talakaveri and some part in Virajpet. Coorg is located in highland and the scenery is awesome if you see it from high altitude places, better to choose some location in Madikeri because is stand on top of the mountain ranges and is the perfect place for enjoying the scenery.

Wildlife

There are many wildlife sanctuaries in Coorg, and home for rare fauna, you can see some animals like deer, wild pig, rare birds, Malabar squirrels if you are lucky. The Nagarahole national park is located in the south Coorg with rare animals including leopards and Tigers, it has fair elephant population. Take a visit to Nagarahole national park and some sanctuary if possible.

Waterfalls

If you know something about Coorg, first you think about waterfalls, there are many waterfalls, but some of them accessible by road including Abbey falls, Irupu Falls and Mallalli falls (takes 15 minutes to down and climb up), Chelavara falls. There are many waterfalls hidden in the valleys and remote areas which not possible to get there by vehicle or even hard by trek.
