Sri Ramalingeswara Temple is one of the oldest religious Hindu temples located in small village Kanive. This Temple is situated on the bank of river Kaveri and 6 km from Kushalnagar (via Kushalnagar to Hassan State Highway). It is believed that once the lord Sri Rama himself performed a pooja to the shiva linga to obtain relief from Killing Ravana (Brahma Hathya Dosha). As per mythicism the Shiva linga here installed by lord Sri Rama. Rathosthava and Jathra events are taking place during Rama Navami.
There is a hanging foot bridge on the Kaveri river which connects to the next village, the bridge is attracting tourists.
