Somwarpet is the Town in Somwarpet Taluka in Kodagu District, located in top hill within lush green surrounding. There are several small villages in Somwarpet Taluka, somwarpet is one of the three talukas of Kodagu District, the town is home to around 7,000 inhabitants and the main languages spoken here are Kannada, Tulu, Are Bhashe and Kodava Takk.
